So I may be soft, I may not live up to all of your grand expectations. I may not live according to your strict rules and regulations. I may not adhere to all your self-righteous ideals. I may screw up, often. I may not be who you want me to be. Maybe I am not perfect. And maybe there are things that are outside my reach. But I am not going to hate myself and punish myself for not living up to your expectations. I am not going to live according to someone else’s advice.
